Welcome to our Extra Heroes page, This page was set up following the academy’s very first Health and Social Care Careers Expo, 'Virtual Future Heroes' event in December 2020.
The event was held to display the wide range of different career options available within the health and social care sectors and to provide young people and their tutors with a rare chance to discover careers in the health and social care sectors. The week-long series of webinars included inspirational talks, demonstrations and activities. Professionals working within the career sector joined us, allowing the students to hear first-hand from the people doing the jobs and what it takes to become a Health and Social Care Hero.
As well as interactive displays of careers available, students were also able to find out the different education requirements and options to successfully land a career in their areas of interest, with talks from the University of Hertfordshire and local apprenticeship leads.
This page contains the presentations for each of the Virtual Future Hero sessions and additional content.
If there is something you are looking for and cannot find it here please get in touch via email, Academy.hwe@nhs.net and we will be happy to help.
