This page is to help schools and colleges with resources to help promote careers in health and care to students.
We are keen to work with our local schools and colleges to promote health and social care careers to your students and we are currently developing a programme to support this.
If you have an event that you would like us to attend or would like to speak to us about how we can support your school or college event please contact us by emailing academy.hwe@nhs.net.
'With this academic year drawing to a close I would like to say thank you for your very valuable contribution to our careers programme this year.
Your on-going support has enabled our students to participate in a whole range of events that has provided them with new skills, up to date information and advice and your inspiration to help them make important decisions about their future.
I would like to wish you a lovely summer and I look forward to seeing you and working with you again in the new academic year.'

We realise how important work experience is to students when making decisions about future careers, therefore we have pulled together various virtual work experience programmes.
Work experience is a fantastic way of gaining insight into a career especially what a day in the life is like for that job. It can be a valuable way for you to develop confidence and experience caring for people. With over 350 career options available in health and care it can seem a daunting experience to choose which job is right for you and work experience can help you with those decisions.
Do you have students interested in completing an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are available for school and college leavers via entry level roles and offer the opportunity to 'earn while you learn'.
