“We recognise that menopause can have significant impact on colleagues working and home lives. Providing support for colleagues going through the menopause as well as educating our managers has been an area of priority for us impacting on the wellbeing and retention of our staff. We’re delighted that this work has been recognised and we’ve been shortlisted as finalists”. Tania Marcus, Chief People Officer, Hertfordshire & West Essex ICS

“The standard of work and level of activity demonstrated by entrants to the first-ever Menopause Friendly Employer Awards has been really high'', says Deborah Garlick, CEO of Henpicked: Menopause in The Workplace. “Entries have come in from across banking, finance, retail and healthcare sectors and Hertfordshire & West Essex Integrated Care System have done exceptionally well to stand out in such a competitive field''.

“It was an absolute pleasure to join the independent judging panel as they reviewed each application and to see the passion, dedication and commitment of these inspirational organisations and people to change the lived experience of menopause in their workplace. Not long ago, menopause was so clearly a taboo in the workplace: now we’re preparing to host this prestigious Awards event to celebrate the achievements and progress being made in this area: it’s wonderful!”
