Hertfordshire and west Essex really does have everything - from those looking for a small pad on the outskirts of London to a place to bring up the family a little further in the countryside.
The counties are home to a number of lively towns including Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Potters Bar, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Harlow and Hertford, as well as the city of St Albans. Hertfordshire is home to the first garden cities - Letchworth and Welwyn, and has two major international airports, Luton and Stansted, close by.
Our counties are recognised as a great place to bring up family, with fantastic schools and plenty on offer within the county and close by. In the 2020 Halifax Quality of Life survey east Hertfordshire was voted as the best place to live in the UK. Harlow is also attracting investment and developing a reputation as a science and pharmaceutical hub.

The Academy is part of the Hertfordshire and west Essex Integrated Care System where NHS organisations, in partnership with local councils and others, take collective responsibility for managing resources, delivering NHS standards, and improving the health of the population they serve.
