Neil tells us how being a volunteer led to a career as a mental health nurse

At the age of 16 Neil didn't really know what he wanted to do but was considering a career in medicine and he started as a volunteer with Mind, a mental health charity. At 18 he become a support worker in a mental health unit and whilst still thinking about medicine a discussion with his line manager led him into mental health nursing.

Neil talks about how his career has developed and the opportunities he has had to progress in his career to be a service line lead.
